Blondie performs at Community Theater in Morristown

NEW FROM THE NEW WAVE -- Blondie was founded by punk rockers, vocalist Deborah Harry and guitarist Chris Stein. The group mixed musical styles, incorporating elements of disco, pop and reggae into the American New Wave and punk rock scenes of the 1970s. Their album, Parallel Lines, brought them into the mainstream in 1978. In the 1980s, Blondie held its place on the pop charts with "Heart of Glass," "Rapture," "Call Me," "One Way or Another" and "Dreaming." Blondie is featured in the All-Star Summer series at The Community Theater, 100 South St., Morristown. Hear them at 8 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 10. Tickets are $47 to $77. Call 973-539-8008 or visit mayoarts.org.
