Pink Floyd's Waters Open To Idea Of Reunion
KETV.com - Entertainment - Pink Floyd's Waters Open To Idea Of Reunion
LONDON -- Roger Waters would not immediately say no if Pink Floyd decided to do something more.
"I'd be very up for doing a lot more," Waters told Britain's X-FM.
Waters said reuniting with Pink Floyd for Live 8 was "such fun."
He said the moment they plugged in for their first rehearsal, "It was like putting on an old shoe."
The bassist apparently has had a change of heart since Live 8.
In July, right after Live 8, Waters called the chances of furthering the Pink Floyd reunion "very slight."
Enough with the teasin' already Roger, 1st he says no reunion, highly unlikely, now it's, well it would be nice, I wouldn't say no right away. So which is it? Oh yeah then it's Gilmours turn to chime in and tease, saying, oh I can't do a reunion now, I have a solo album to work on etc. So if it isn't Roger it's David...if only they could agree on things, the show would be on the road, cause Mason and Wright would be okay with it. Come on boys one last tour!

Punk, Metal Pioneers Honored
CBS News | Punk, Metal Pioneers Honored | November 28, 200512:00:07
(AP) Black Sabbath, Miles Davis and the Sex Pistols are among five musical legends to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation will hold its induction ceremony March 13 at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Manhattan, the organization announced Monday.
Also to be inducted into the class of 2006: 1980s New Wave band Blondie and Southern rockers Lynyrd Skynyrd.
It's finally Blondies turn to be recognized for what they contributed to the New Wave/Punk movement, glad they made it, should have been given to them earlier! I knew it would be Blondies turn when last year The Pretenders were given the nod.

Unearthed New Zep Photos!
When Led Zep rocked the Cross and no one noticed - Arts - Entertainment
RUMMAGING through some old boxes one day, Ted Harvey, a freelance photographer, found some photos he had almost forgotten: more than 100 intimate shots of Led Zeppelin he had taken during their 1972 Australian tour.
"It gave me a bit of a shock," Harvey said.
The photographs, which have never been seen by anyone except Harvey and the band, will go on display at a charity exhibition at Lismore Regional Gallery today.
Finding the photos brought back memories of the Sydney Showgrounds concert, which took place on February 27, 1972. Harvey simply drove his van behind the stage and walked around to the front, bypassing the crowd control barrier.
"There was officially 28,000 people there but really it was more like 36,000," said Harvey, adding that he could not see any other press photographers around him.
"When they played The Immigrant Song, the crowd just jumped over the barrier and ran to the stage. I got stuck and I couldn't move around. Robert Plant just told the crowd to sit down and they did, but I stood up because I was there to take photos."
The next day, Harvey visited the band at their Elizabeth Bay hotel to give them some of the shots he'd taken.
"Then Robert said, 'Let's go for a walk', so we wandered out to the Cross and he started singing at the top of his voice. I thought, 'Oh no, people are going to notice', but no one really turned around. That's the Cross for you," said Harvey.
"There was an old dumped Plymouth car that had a Viking's head as its emblem. Robert whipped out his pocket knife and tried to get the head off. I thought 'Oh jeez, the police are going to come over and see these two long-haired guys attacking this car. But he couldn't get it off so he said 'I'll get the chauffeur to come down and get it off'."
Lismore Regional Gallery's director, Steven Alderton, said he was impressed by the artistic and historical merit of the photographs.
"Compositionally they are great images and they hold the presence of the moment," he said. "Although my first thought was certain people should buy jeans a few sizes bigger."
Now if only they can make some of those just discovered images of Zeppelin posters!! Nothing would please more than that :) for us long time Zep fans.

Black Sabbath To Be Inducted Into (US) Rock & Roll Hall of Fame
According to Tony Iommi's official site (Iommi.com), Black Sabbath will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame at the Twenty-First Annual Induction Ceremony in New York next March. There are plans to broadcast an edited version of the ceremony on VH-1.
Ozzy Osbourne attempted to take Black Sabbath's name off the Hall of Fame's 1999 nomination list, deeming the institution's nod "meaningless."
In an October 1999 letter to the Hall of Fame, Osbourne said: "Just take our name off the list. Save the ink. Forget about us. The nomination is meaningless, because it's not voted on by the fans. It's voted on by the supposed elite for the industry and the Media, who've never bought an album or concert ticket in their lives, so their vote is irrelevant to me." He says, "Let's face it, BLACK SABBATH has never been media darlings. We're a people's band and that suits us just fine."
Black Sabbath became eligible for induction for in 1996.
I agree with Ozzy, Sabbath was a people's band same as Zeppelin was.

The Black Crowes Rockin' New Year's Eve
The Black Crowes Announce Their First-Ever Headlining Performance At Madison Square Garden On New Year's Eve
2005 marked the year in which THE BLACK CROWES reunited and re-connected with their loyal fans, performing the best shows of their career. The band--who've been alternately described as "The Most Rock ‘N Roll Rock ‘N Roll Band In The World" and "a thoroughbred American rock ‘n' freakin' roll band"--will culminate this hugely successful year on December 31, 2005 with their first-ever New Year's Eve show at Madison Square Garden in the city where it all began back in March with seven sold-out nights at Hammerstein Ballroom.
One thing I can tell you about the Black Crowes is that they are LOUD and no one sits down at a Crowes show!!!

I wonder if fans like Chris Cornell with Audioslave as much as they liked him with Soundgarden. There's something about his voice in Soundgarden that to me seemed like he had more power, what a voice! Glad that Audioslave is doing some Soundgarden songs as well at shows :)
