AC/DC Celebrate 40 Years of "Highway to Hell"
AC/DC Celebrate 40 Years of "Highway to Hell"
40 years gone by and AC/DC still rockin' us to hell and back!
There is a lot of speculation on whether AC/DC are going to tour or release a new album.
"Highway To Hell" was AC/DC's last album with singer Bon Scott, who died from alcohol
poisoning on February 19, 1980. The album was released on July 27, 1979.
It was AC/DC's first album to sell a million copies and make the Top 20 in the U.S.
The album was titled "Highway To Hell" because Angus Young replied to a reporter asking the band members to describe what life was like being constantly on tour.
Angus said that it was "a fucking highway to hell."
The original cover to "Highway to Hell" was not released by the American record company. I guess they didn't like the flames surrounding the band. They went with a shot of the band posing without any flames.
