David Gilmour Joins Roger Waters For The Wall In London
By Paul Cashmere
Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour and drummer Nick Mason were surprise guests at the Roger Waters ‘The Wall’ show in London creating a Pink Floyd reunion during ‘Comfortably Numb’.
Gilmour played his signature lead guitar part in the Pink Floyd classic while Mason later sat on the wall and played tambourine while Gilmour joined the band for ‘Outside The Wall’.
The last time Pink Floyd reunited was six years ago in London for Live 8. Waters and Gilmour last performed together for the Hoping Foundation in 2010.
However, don’t hold your breath for another Floyd reunion to happen anytime soon. In the blog at the David Gilmour website it says, “I should also remind you that tonight is most definitely a one-off; David is not repeating his special guest performance at a later occasion, I’m sorry to disappoint those of you with fingers crossed and tickets for later shows.
