Santana Reveals Songs for His New Album

Santana Reveals His Classic Guitar Covers

The next Santana album will be an album of covers of his favourite guitar songs with an all-star cast of guest singers.


For the record, Santana will cover songs by Led Zeppelin, Cream, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Van Halen, Def Leppard, Deep Purple, T.Rex, AC/DC, Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Jeff Beck and Creedence Clearwater Revival.

Guests include Chris Cornell, Rob Thomas, Nas, Joe Cocker and Scott Weiland.

His cover of George Harrison’s ‘While My Guitar Gently Weeps’ has been met with a big thumbs up from George’s widow Olivia. “Listening to the song,” she told Carlos, “it made me jump for joy and cry at the same time.”

‘Guitar Heaven: The Greatest Guitar Classics of All Time’ will be released on September 17.
