Steven Tyler Book
Steven Tyler Writes A Book
by Paul Cashmere - April 30 2009
Steven Tyler has compiled his life story in the book `Does The Noise In My Head Bother You`.
Tyler has documented his early days growing up in the Bronx, his early music career and influences, three decades of Aerosmith and his relationship with his four children, including actresses Liv and Mia Tyler.
Tyler decided to put in print all the sex, drugs and rock and roll from his life.
“This is not just my take, this is the unbridled truth, the in-your-face, up-close and prodigious tale of Steven Tyler straight from the horse’s lips,” he said in a statement.
Tyler will launch the book at BookExpo America in Norwalk, Connecticut on May 28.
(This will be a nice juicy book to own :)

Free Aerosmith Concert in Hawaii
Aerosmith to settle lawsuit with Maui performance
AP, Apr 27, 2009 6:00 am PDT
Free tickets to see Aerosmith in Hawaii? Dream on, unless you happen to be one of 8,300 people left in the cold when the band canceled a sold-out concert in 2007.Aerosmith has agreed to perform on Maui to settle a class-action lawsuit filed by fans who alleged the band pulled out of the show in favor of a larger concert in Chicago and a more lucrative private performance for Toyota dealers on Oahu.
The suit claimed the cancellation cost Maui ticket buyers between $500,000 and $3 million in travel costs, handling fees and other expenses.
"Everyone who bought a ticket to the original concert will receive a free ticket, and all out-of-pocket expenses will be reimbursed regardless of the amount," said Brandee Faria, an attorney representing the would-be concertgoers. The date for the new Maui concert has not been set, but Faria said it will likely be in September or October, after Aerosmith wraps up its North America tour.
Aerosmith attorney Jay Handlin said the band was glad to reach the settlement.
"The band is about the music," Handlin said. "So they are glad to be able to resolve this in a way that really focuses on connecting or reconnecting the people of Hawaii with the band and its music."

KoRn Crafting "Heavy Groove Riffs"
KoRn Crafting "Heavy Groove Riffs"
KoRn singer Jonathan Davis, bassist Fieldy, guitarist Munky and drummer Ray Luzier have been working together in Fieldy's basement studio in Laguna Hills, CA coming up with a bunch of material for a new record, as well as an album of cover songs. The group is working with original KoRn producer Ross Robinson, which is bringing them back to their roots. Fieldy told Billboard.com that working with Robinson "really brings out old school Korn. It's heavy riffs and we're trying to strip it down raw and get those heavy groove riffs that make you want to hop around or jump around or just go crazy. We're going towards that."
Fieldy added that "there's nothing lyrically put down yet," but Davis may bring a portable studio on the road when KoRn kicks off its tour with Avenged Sevenfold on Saturday in Tucson, so that he can begin laying down ideas. The album could be out by the end of the year.
Meanwhile, the band has also been practicing a diverse array of cover songs such as Nine Inch Nails' "Head Like A Hole," Faith No More's "We Care a Lot" and the Psychedelic Furs' "Love My Way." They will be part of the separate covers album, but it is uncertain when that project will be ready for release. For now, the band is just looking forward to getting back on the road.
"We're just going to take a little break now (from recording) and come back fresh," Fieldy told Billboard. "We've been home for over a year now. We really want to get out on stage. We put together a set of a lot of KoRn classic songs; I'm excited to play some of these songs we haven't played in years."
