Blondie and The Pretenders To Play A Day On The Green

Blondie and The Pretenders To Play A Day On The Green

by Paul Cashmere - June 3 2010

Blondie and The Pretenders are the first acts named for A Day On The Green 2010.

The double header will coincide with a new album for Blondie ‘Panic of Girls’, due soon. It will be the first studio album from Blondie since ‘The Curse of Blondie’ in 2003.

The last album from The Pretenders was ‘Break Up The Concrete’ in 2008.

Aussie acts Adalita from Magic Dirt and Little Red will support all A Day On The Green shows.

As well as the A Day On The Green shows, Frontier Touring will also present sideshows in Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra.

Dates are:

November 24, Perth, Kings Park & Botanic Gardens
November 27, Barossa Valley, Peter Lehmann Wines
December 1, Melbourne, Palais Theatre
December 4, Yarra Valley, Rochford Wines
December 5, Launceston, Josef Chromy Wines
December 7, Sydney, Enmore Theatre
December 11, Hunter Valley, Bimbadgen Estate
December 12, Mt Cotton, Sirromet Wines
December 14, Canberra, Royal Theatre

(Two of my favorite bands together - Blondie and The Pretenders with Chrissie Hynde. I've seen them in concert before but not lately. I can't wait to hear the new album from Blondie. It will no doubt be interesting and possibly they will tour the U.S. again.)
