Motley Crue Get Game

Motley Crue Get Game

by Paul Cashmere - April 16 2008

Motley Crue will release their new single 'Saints of Los Angeles' through a game. The single was made available today through Rock Band.

Crue fans can grab the track from Xbox Live Marketplace and the Playstation Store.

It is the first time that a major band has bypassed the major labels and released a song via gaming companies.

'Saints of Los Angeles' is the title-track from the forthcoming Motley Crue album, their first with all original band members in more than a decade.

Motley Crue also today announced a US tour. Crue Fest '08 will also feature Buckcherry, Papa Roach, Trapt and Sixx:AM.

The 40 city tour will feature a stage where fans will have the chance to play Rock Band as a guitarist, bass player, drummer or singer. A local winner will be announced at each show.

(I think it's smart for artists to look for anyway to get their music out. Lots of young music lovers start really liking certain bands because of video games. It's a good way to market to more people that possibly will become fans.)
