NEW Book - The Doors Examined By Jim Cherry

The Doors Examined By Jim Cherry

The Doors always remind me of Spring and Summer and this fresh brand new book "The Doors Examined" by author Jim Cherry, is a must have for all Doors fans.

Here is a nice review:

“The Doors Examined is an astonishingly insightful page-turner. Jim Cherry

deconstructs the story of The Doors, examining all facets from every angle,

exploring their history and contextualizing their achievements. He not only takes

the reader back to the sixties to understand the world in which they were created,

but also brings us up to the present day, showing their ongoing reverberations

four decades after Jim Morrison checked out. This is a must-read for hardcores

and newbies alike; maybe even for the doubters of a band that still compels

people to choose sides.” Robert Rodriguez - author of Fab Four FAQ 2.0 and

Revolver: How the Beatles Reimagined Rock ‘N’ Roll

The book is definitely worth checking out and is available at Amazon (http://tiny.cc/y2rkuw) Kindle (http://tiny.cc/d4rkuw) and Barnes & Noble (http://tiny.cc/75rkuw).  Would also make a great gift for Doors fans or any fan of rock music.

Garbage House of Blues Boston

What a great show Garbage and Shirley Manson put on at the House of Blues in Boston last night March 26th!  She took the stage and was in command and in charge.  The energy was cosmic. The band was amazing and on fire!

The opening act Io Echo, their intensity was also felt.  A fabulous tour combination!  If you get a chance to see Garbage on tour with Io Echo do NOT miss them, they are worth every dollar spent!

Garbage:

Garbage was the brainchild of producers Butch Vig, Duke Erikson, and Steve Marker. Garbage was an informal jam session between the three producers held in Marker's basement, but they eventually recruited vocalist Shirley Manson, who had previously sang with Angelfish and Goodbye Mr. MacKenzie.
