Freddie Mercury And Michael Jackson Collaborations Coming
By Andrew Tijs
Three early-‘80s tracks recorded by Freddie Mercury and Michael Jackson will see the light of day.
NME spoke to Queen’s Roger Taylor, who is currently working on the songs for release in the near future.
Taylor said, “We are now working on some never before released songs that Freddie made with Michael in the early-'80s. I'm not allowed to say too much about it, but they sound incredible."
The first was a demo for the Jackson and Mick Jagger collaboration 'State Of Shock', which was eventually released in 1984.
The two other tracks – 'Victory' and 'There Must Be More To Life Than This' – were previously going to be released in 2002 but it never eventuated.
(There always seems to be left over recordings somewhere that get released after artists die & at times these recordings are quite good. I know most fans of any artist want anything and everything from said artist that can be unearthed to be released. This Freddie Mercury/Michael Jackson collaboration sounds very interesting.)
