Robert Plant and Alison Krauss Win Record of the Year
by Paul Cashmere - February 9 2009
Robert Plant and Alison Krauss where the big act at this year`s Grammy Awards event.
Plant and Krauss beat out Coldplay, Lil Wayne, Ne-Yo and Radiohead to win Album of the Year for ‘Raising Sand’.
‘Raising Sand’ was one of the biggest selling albums in the United States last year, thanks to the wonderful production of T-Bone Burnett.
In fact, while it is Plant and Krauss’ name gracing the cover, the sound of the album is very much Burnett’s.
It was Plant and Krauss’ show. They also won Record of the Year for ‘Please Read The Letter’, Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals for ‘Rich Woman’, Best Country Collaboration with vocals.
(Alrighty, well deserved for both of them. Now on to making more music together.)
