Led Zeppelin Will Tour … But Not Now
by Paul Cashmere - January 29 2008
Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page has confirmed that a Led Zeppelin world tour will happen, but not until after a few solo things are out of the way.
Speaking at a press conference in Japan, Page admitted that he would like to take Led Zeppelin on a world tour.
However, an announcement for the tour is unlikely before later this year. "Robert Plant also has a parallel project running, and he's really busy with that project, certainly until September, so I can't give you any news," Page said at the conference.
Jimmy also said that the amount of work that went into the one-off O2 gig in London last December was the equivalent of what a band does for a world tour.
Plant will be touring his latest album 'Raising Sand' with Alison Krauss in the USA and Europe from April.
(Good news, it's looking more and more like a reality of a Zep tour coming late in the year or possibly in '09! Sometimes you just have to believe and things do happen even the unthinkable sometimes ends up happening!!)
