Yeah, I'd forgotten that Jimmy played as a session guitar man on Tom Jones's "it's not unusual". I knew about the other songs, kinks and who, but forgot about T. Jones. They should do the same for John Paul Jones, get out an interview and tell us what early stuff he did.

Didn't Jimmy do the guitar solo on " With A Little help From My Friends " ( the Joe Cocker version ) as well? Someone told me he did, but I could be mistaken.

Not sure if he did, I'm not really up on what he did (song wise) in his session time.

Von again..lol. I have tons of Pages session works....he done hundreds of songs. I listen to them here lately alot. Jimmy Back Pages, the Early Years is a fav. dc of mine, and well as before the balloon went up, although I don't care for the one disc in that set, cause it's tributes stuff...gag.

Oh my brother in law had to email me to say he caught the radio broadcast of this...all he said to me was, "Jimmy is a pretty talented guy" I thought well DUH, like I'm going to choose a guitar "god" to idolize and want to play like who ISNT TALENTED..lol.

Then if you listen to that mojo cd..roots of zep...ugh, it starts getting annoying cause you hear all these songs that SOMEONE ELSE DID and then jimmy decided hey I can play that, and even better..lol. Kinda ruins the experience. I couldn't stand Joan Baez doing BIGTLY...I thought I had the treble to high on my system at first...lol...she got a few lines in and skipped to the next song. What did anyone ever see in her? lol

That's right how could your brother even think such a thought...that you would like a Guitar God that ISNT talented, geesh, LOL. I mean we are talking about the one and ONLY JIMMY PAGE!!! The Rock Guitar God of all Rockers :)

I've never heard Joan Baez version of BIGLY, it can't even touch Zep's Im sooooo sure!! What songs did Joan do anyways, can't recall any right now. Jimmy and Robert must've thought that Joan's song was cool enough for them to want to do it up big time.

I also have that " Roots Of Led Zeppelin" CD which was free with MOJO mag a while back. It's kind of interesting but you wouldn't play it more than once every 10 years.

Joan Baez's version of BIGTLY is immmm....individual. I doubt if she plays it anymore, certainly not since LZ1 came out.
